MOODY FOUNDATION COMMITS $1 MILLION TO DALLAS-AREA COVID-19 RELIEF

Funds to be distributed through the Foundation’s local partners

DALLAS – March 19, 2020 – The Moody Foundation announced today it has made an initial $1 million commitment in COVID-19 relief funds to support the Dallas area.

“The Moody Foundation stands with Dallas as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis,” said Frances Moody-Dahlberg, chairman and executive director of the Moody Foundation. “This community is family to us, so its safety and well-being are our top priorities.”

Initial funds have been authorized to help these local partners serve those most in need:

-American Red Cross: North Texas

-Children’s Health Foundation

-North Texas Food Bank

-Parkland Foundation

-Visiting Nurses Association Meals on Wheels

Representatives from the Foundation are reaching out to the local nonprofits to help deploy funds in the most effective way possible.
